Terms of use
These terms apply to md-k.com and to the free consultation, appointment request and status tools on it. They are written to be read, not to be hidden behind.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Dr. Katheryne Castillo, MD, a physician licensed in the Philippines, practising as La Peau Parfaite Medical Clinic in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. In these terms, "we", "us" and "the clinic" mean that practice, and "you" means the person using this website.
You can reach us at doctor@md-k.com for anything in these terms. There is no walk-in reception: the clinic sees patients by appointment only.
2. The free consultation
The free consultation at md-k.com/consult is a short, guided conversation on this website, followed by a review by the clinic team. Its purpose is to find out whether the clinic is a suitable fit for what you are looking for, and to decide whether a real consultation is the right next step.
- It costs nothing. No card is requested, no deposit is taken, and nothing is charged on this website at any point.
- It takes a couple of minutes. You answer questions about the concern, how long it has lasted, where you are, your timing and, for aesthetic treatments, whether a realistic price range is workable.
- It requires your consent. We ask you to confirm four things before sending: that you understand this is not medical advice, that you have read the privacy notice, that we may contact you, and that you are an adult (or a parent or guardian acting for a minor).
- A decision is made either way. If we are a fit, a human at the clinic looks at the answers and Dr. Castillo contacts you personally. If we are not, we would rather say so than take your money.
3. What the free consultation is not
It is not medical advice. Nothing in the free consultation, and nothing else on this website, is medical advice for your individual case. It is general information and a suitability check.
It is not a consultation with a doctor. No physician-patient relationship is created by using this website, sending a request, or receiving an answer on it. That relationship begins only when Dr. Castillo accepts you as a patient and sees you in a real consultation.
It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. No diagnosis is made, no treatment is prescribed, and no medicine may be started or stopped on the basis of anything on this website.
It is not a second opinion, and it does not replace the advice of a physician who has examined you.
The clinic may decline a request, ask for an in-clinic assessment first, or recommend that you see another practitioner, if that is what your situation calls for. A decline is not a judgment about your health; it is a judgment about fit.
4. What happens if you are a fit
If your answers show that the clinic can help, a booking request is created and Dr. Castillo receives it with your answers as a briefing note. You will be told that Dr. Castillo will contact you personally at the number you gave, to discuss the details and arrange a time.
Until she confirms a specific appointment with you, no appointment exists. You are free to decline, to ask for another day, or not to reply at all. Nothing is owed for the conversation or for the request.
5. Appointment requests and prices
The appointment request form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A slot exists only once Dr. Castillo confirms it with you directly.
- Prices shown on this website are starting prices in Philippine pesos. They are indicative, may change, and are always confirmed with you before any treatment begins.
- Payment is made at the clinic, by GCash or cash, once the amount has been confirmed with you. No payment is collected through this website.
- Online appointments are for general medicine follow-ups. Aesthetic treatments involve assessment and procedures on the skin, so they require an in-clinic visit in Laoag.
- Cancellations and changes. Message the clinic. There is no cancellation fee for reasonable notice.
6. Prescriptions, results and certificates
Prescriptions, medical certificates and the interpretation of laboratory results cannot be obtained through the free consultation or through this website. They require a proper consultation with Dr. Castillo, and she may require an examination or additional tests before issuing any of them. Never delay or change a prescribed treatment because of something you read here.
7. Emergencies
This website is not monitored continuously and must not be used for emergencies. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of a stroke, a seizure, severe abdominal pain, thoughts of harming yourself, or any other urgent symptom, call local emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not wait for a reply from the clinic.
8. Who may use this site
You must be 18 or older to send a request. A parent or legal guardian may send one on behalf of a minor. You agree to give accurate information: the clinic's assessment, and any appointment, depends on it. Requests sent on someone else's behalf without their authority are refused.
9. Your information
Your answers include health information, which Philippine law treats as sensitive personal information. We collect it only with your consent, use it to assess your request and arrange your care, and never sell it. The full detail, including your rights and how to exercise them, is in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
10. The website itself
- The content, brand and photographs on this site belong to the clinic or are used with permission. You may share links freely; you may not republish the content as your own or use it to advertise another clinic.
- Before-and-after photographs are published only with written patient consent. Results of aesthetic treatments vary from person to person, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed.
- We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of error. A page may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by Philippine law, the clinic is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website, or from a delay in a reply, where no physician-patient relationship has been established.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any right you have as a patient or a consumer under Philippine law.
12. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes will be brought before the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ilocos Norte, without prejudice to any right you have to complain to a regulator.
We may update these terms when the service changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the last change, and the version in force is the one published here when you use the site.
